Dr. Salwa Aziz is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of simple and complex Cataracts and Glaucoma.
Dr. Aziz treats Ocular Hypertension, Primary Open Angle Glaucoma, Narrow Angles, Primary Angle-Closure Glaucoma and Secondary Glaucoma.
Dr. Aziz utilizes medical and laser treatments, minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), complex glaucoma surgeries, including Trabeculectomies, Trabeculotomies and Glaucoma Shunt Implants.
Dr. Aziz also specializes in vision correction with premium intraocular lens implants and advanced technology cataract surgery.
After obtaining her Doctorate of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees from the University of Utah, Dr. Aziz completed her residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Glaucoma at the world renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Aziz is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona where she served the Tucson community’s glaucoma and cataract needs for over 5 years.
She is an active member of the American Glaucoma Society (AGS), a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
