Said Baidas, MD, hematologist/medical oncologist, joined Orlando Health Cancer Institute in March 2006 as medical director of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program.
For 16 years, Dr. Baidas served on the faculty of Georgetown University Medical Center/Lombardi Cancer Center, where he held the positions of associate professor of medicine and oncology and director of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program.
Dr. Baidas has particular experience in the treatment of breast cancer, hemostasis and thrombosis, and is a member of the Breast, Gastrointestinal, Hematology and Lymphoma/Myeloma Specialty Sections.
Dr. Baidas completed his fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at Georgetown University and fulfilled his residency in internal medicine at State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center.
He has been published in professional journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, American Journal of Clinical Oncology and the Journal of Neuro-Oncology.
He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
