By having youth as our core focus AND as our leadership, we aim to truly embody what it means to be a youth center.
The Prophet (PBUH) intended for the masjid to be a place where the wants and needs of youth are a priority.
He extended his prayers just so children could play on his back (Nasaa'i, Ibn Asaakir, and Haakim), and cut his prayers short to relieve distressed children and their parents (Bu khari).
If the duration of salah, the most sacred act of worship, was adjusted to cater to the needs of youth, then perhaps everything within the masjid should be as well.
