As president, he guided, and was responsible, for balancing a combined budget of more than $400,000,000.
By contrast, the budget for the City of Dearborn for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 is $132,000,000; Member, Welcome Home Dearborn - Promote Dearborn Campaign; Member, Dearborn Public Schools Education Foundation; Member, Dearborn Public Schools, Advocacy and Legislative Committee; Member, HFCC Business Management Advisory Committee; Past President and Board Member, Dearborn Board of Realtors; Chairman, Dearborn Board of Realtors Ethics and Professionalism; Member, Salina School Community Advisory Committee; Member, McDonald Elementary School, Woodworth Middle School, and Fordson High School PTA chapters; Member, Dearborn Chamber of Commerce – Teacher of the Year Committee; President, Dearborn Youth Football Association, Member, ACCESS Board of Directors; and, Member, Dearborn Goodfellows Board of Directors Presented, the Lewis Hine Award in 2012 from The National Child Labor Committee for his service to the youth in his community. Hussein is the father of five children that are each a product of Dearborn Public Schools and four have completed their secondary education and earned their degrees.
The youngest is still working towards his.Three of his sons have bought houses in Dearborn where they live with their young families.
