I am half Egyptian, half German and grew up both in Egypt and Germany before immigrating to the U.S.
in my teens.
In New York I earned a BA in Theatre Arts and Dance and also in Arabic Language and Culture.
After I graduated I moved to L.A.
and worked at 4 studios in Hollywood for 15 years before moving to San Diego.
Since then I’ve been married, had our son, Noah and began my career as Educator.
I truly feel I found my calling.
I was trained in PBL right out of the gate and am a firm believer that students K-12 learn best by constructing knowledge through experiential immersion opportunities.
In addition to being an Educator my passion is dance, every style of dance.
Over the last 10 years I absolutely fell in love with West Coast Swing, a highly creative and artistic partner dance.
My friends know me as Fatima, the dancer, as I dance any style, any time, any where.
When I hear music I’ve been seen grapevining through the hallways.
I am happy to be a part of the High Tech High team this year as an Education Specialist.
