Dr. Lama Al-Khoury, M.D.
is a health sciences clinical associate professor at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine, a neurologist with UCR Health in Riverside, and director of Outpatient Stroke Service Program.
Her specialty is in stroke/cerebrovascular disease and she also has expertise in headache medicine.
Prior to her joining UCR, Al-Khoury worked at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, where she was co-director of the UCI School of Medicine Medical Student Clerkship Program as well as a clinical faculty member in the Department of Neurology.
She was a teacher and supervising attending for the neurology residents, taught medical students and educated other residents and fellows of other specialties.
Her clinical practice included outpatient and inpatient services.
She evaluated patients at her stroke and headache clinic and also was attending physician on the inpatient stroke service.
In addition, she supervised and was involved in clinical research.
Al-Khoury is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Heart Association, the American Headache Society and the International Headache Society.
She is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in headache medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.
