Ameera Ismail, MD, a board-certified neuroradiologist, received her medical degree from the University of Alexandria in Egypt.
She went on to complete a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Ismail has previously worked with Regional Diagnostic Radiology in Central Minnesota.She specializes in advanced MRI and CT imaging of the head, neck, brain and spine, and has extensive experience with US and CT guided biopsies of the head, neck, chest, body and bone.
In addition, Dr. Ismail has a special interest in fluoroscopy-guided spine procedures, including lumber spine pain management.
Her work has been featured in numerous publications and presentations.Dr. Ismail is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, the American Society of Spine Radiology, the International Spine Interventional Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Radiological Society of North America.
