Historic Charcoal House Restaurant has been a staple of the La Mesa community since 1963.
Under new management since April 2017, we have completely renovated our dining room, added a new Cigar and Hookah lounge, and rebuilding our Patio to accommodate 225 guests for outdoor dining, Cabana rentals and bottle service.
We have kept many of your favorites on the menu, with a touch of new.

History
Established in 1963.
Charcoal House was originally founded by the Upson family in 1963.
Since then it has changed ownership many times, but the same great steaks and chops are our primary focus.
Under new ownership as of April 2017, we are please to now open back up at lunchtime (11AM) and open daily until 1:30AM (except Mondays)
