Abood Shebib is a trial attorney concentrating his practice on complex business litigation in state and federal courts and before state and federal administrative agencies.
Abood helps clients resolve legal disputes and navigate the complexities of litigation.
He is knowledgeable in a wide range of business sectors and is experienced in resolving business disputes, including business torts and contract disputes, as well as matters concerning unfair competition, trade secrets, trademarks, and employment law.
His employment law experience covers all aspects of the employment litigation process in both state and federal court and before administrative agencies, including investigating and responding to charges of discrimination before the Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR).
He also counsels employers on litigation avoidance strategies, as well as assists with settlements and releases and the termination and discipline of employees.
Prior to joining McIntyre, Abood served as an attorney at law firms in Orlando, Naples, and Tampa, concentrating on labor and employment defense, business and commercial litigation, trademark law, and general negligence and liability defense.
During law school, Abood interned with the Honorable Federal Magistrate Judge Monte C.
Richardson in the United States District Court in Jacksonville and worked as a certified legal intern in the Office of the Public Defender for the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
After law school, Abood served as a University of Florida Post-Graduate Fellow working with the Honorable James S.
Moody Jr.
in the United States District Court in Tampa.
Abood is active in the Orange County Bar Association employment law section and the Florida Bar as a member of its business law, trial lawyers, and labor and employment law sections.
He is also a member of the Federal Bar Association.
Notably, he volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem attorney for the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, advocating for the best interests of abused, abandoned, or neglected children.
